Doug I'm sorry but you lost me. Best that you call me. 815-756-2560 Bruce ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Bruce, The drive end of the shaft isn't long enough. when I put the cog over the shaft it never gets snug.. I'd like to pull the shaft out but am not sure I want to try with the bearings in the way, and I don't want to pull the threads off the shaft. Doug ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Give me a call and I can tell you how to do it. The bearing has to be shimmed properly so the crank is in the right position. Bruce ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- I Know this is going to be difficult, bear with me.. I'm reassembling my 48 And the transmission went in easily, I think. The crank has problems though, When attaching the cog I have Slop on the taper, I cannot tighten the nut enough to pull the shaft thru the bearings to get the cog snug on the shaft. Whats a body to do? |
