The Trail Sprocket is easy to spot. I forget numer of teeth. Maybe someone with more memory will advise.
It is an aluminum Sprocket that fits over the smaller stock steel sprocket.
Original Carb?
Call the Venders + Rebuilders on the site list and beg.
I got one from Stanley Waite, give him a call.

Welcome Jacob,
The number 14 is the number listed in the club.
2 of which are mine.
HD made 750 BTH Scats in 1965, their Last Production Year.

Does yours have the large Trail Sprocket on the rear wheel?

Since you don't have a Carb yet.
I would start by cleaning her up. Drain the Tank, as listed and Change the oil.
My first Scat was a running bike then stored for years.
Before I tried to start her. I cleaned up the Carb.
I also cleaned the inside of the Head and Top of the Piston of oxidation. Making a nice clean combustion chamber. The Head comes off easy, and no gasket is needed to reinstall. Just crank the Piston to the Top, and it's easy to clean up. Bike started on the third kick, with a new spark plug and old points.
Have Fun.
Rocky

JACOB:

CONGRATS ON YOUR BIKE.
IF THERE IS NOTHING MORE WRONG WITH THE COSMETIC APPEARANCE OF YOUR BIKE THAN YOU DESCRIBE, I SUGGEST YOU DO ONLY THE MINIMAL TO GET IT UP AND RUNNING.
DETAIL THE WHOLE BIKE. CHECK THE TIRES & MAYBE
GET NEW TIRES AND TUBES FOR IT IF YOU ARE GOING TO RIDE
IT AND THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO.
CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION OIL.
CHECK THE GAS TANK. IF ANY FUEL REMAINS,DRAIN IT.
THEN FLUSH WITH PAINT THINNER UNTIL CLEAR.
PUT A CLEAR DISPOSABLE FILTER IN THE GAS LINE AND LEAVE
FOR THE FIRST 2 OR 3 REFILLS. IF ANY DEBRIS IS LEFT IN
THE TANK IT WON'T GO IN THE CARB.

NOW FOR THE EXPENSIVE PART:
FIND THE CORRECT CARBURETOR. MT82A TILLOTSON,GET A
REBUILD KIT FOR IT AND INSTALL. ADD AN AFTERMARKET FILTER
A LITTLE FUEL AND SEE IF THIS ENGINE WILL RUN. I BET IT
WILL. IF NOT, THERE IS HELP ON THIS SITE.

PARTS SOURCES ARE SEVERAL FOR THE SEAT AND BRAKE.
CHECK THE HUMMER PARTS SITE WHICH INCLUDE THIS AUTHOR
AND MANY OTHERS.
GET STARTED AND GOOD LUCK.

Well i was pretty lucky to find this site its helping me learn about my dads uncut 65 scat but i would like to know what i could start to do to restore it. It has been sitting in storage since 94 because it doesnt have a carb. I do remember my dad squirting gas in the intake with a pop bottle and starting it probably about 7 years ago. The only defects that i can think of right now is the seat is torn up and the rear tailight is cracked the front brake lever is missing and there may be a few small dents in the front fender. The vin is 65BTH1887.Holiday red in color.
