I haven't heard the 'fall away' term. What exactly is the purpose of the fall away check ?? What do you adjust and why ?? Thanks....Danny ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Hi folks, On modern Harleys the front fender hole is not for a mud flap or to hang em up for painting. It is for front end fall away adjustment. -- First the bike is raised and cables are disconected from the handlebars. -- A plumb line is attached at the hole with a weight on the other end near the floor. -- The front steering is allowed to fall free to one side and then the other.(thus fall away)After taking measurements, adjustments may be needed. |
