The MT58A is off a 50's Jacobsen lawn mower motor. You can run a 28mm Mikuni on your bike, but it will not "bolt right on" To do it "right" you would need extreme porting of the intake port.
You could go with a smaller Mikuni, such as a 22mm. That would only required minimal porting and a special manifold to be made. Your bike will run MUCH better with a bigger carb. Email me if you are interested in the modification.

is anyone running one of those 28mm mikuni flat slide carbs, if so, can you tell me if they are any good i found them on a cushman website as a stage 2 carb. im looking to replace the mt 58a carb that im running now that i believe is from a 196? a or au model topper or a cushman. any ideas or comments would be a great help thanks
