Well guys, you are all correct. this message board has been a God send. Through it I have manage to get just about all of the basic as well as not-so-basic parts to start this project in earnest. Folks like Dr Pepper, with his good tips and connections, and Mutt, whos generousity with odd ball parts, this would just not be possible. I even meet up with a guy who had a motor for me. Just waiting for it to get here.. I will post more pics as soon as my fork boots and stuff get here so I can put the frames back togeather after paint.

Well, I guess I stand corrected! Dr Pepper's methodology is quite inventive and has obviously worked for him. I totally agree that it is a "mission." It requires great patience along with lots of time & travel. But maybe someday you will find yourself at just the right place at just the right time - and BINGO! Good luck with your quest, Jason!

sure there is jason,mr. wassum has been looking in the wrong places.try this ---go to local swap meets with a sign around you neck, front and rear."HUMMER PARTS WANTED".now the chance of finding any parts are slim because the stuff doesn't sell at these kind of meets.the beauty of the sign is as you walk OR RIDE in front of the spots----the vendor SEES YOUR SIGN. and what he says is that he has parts but didn't bring them.bingo! now you have a phone number. you don't have to say a word just walk around, get a hot dog, just kick back---they come out of the woodwork, and they come to you.-its a mission jason and you have to travel and have patience.here's a picture of the dr.getting ready for the Eustis meet in fl. next week end.(and he is looking for a CHEAP MOTOR for jason)last year found pr. fenders for 50.00 .the man saw my sign and still didn't know what the fenders fit,so you need to know what your looking at....works for me.
