hi peter, i agree with robert. hang in there. my lightweight is my first project too. keep your service manual and mind open at all times. and when things dont line up the guys on here are great at helping greenhorns like us 'get it' i heard this line this fall.. old bikes dont flatter you, they educate you. chris indiana ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- It does my soul good to know that my frustrations doing my first rebuild on a motorbike are not unique at all. After an evening of moping around trying to figure out how to part out my 51 project a few of you have helped me man-up and keep going so I wanted to say thanks to those folks ( Mutt...). That said, if any of you more experienced Hummer folks are in the Seattle area I sure could use some advice now and again. Best, peter |
