If you have basic mechanical skills, a digital camera and aren't afraid to ask questions; you don't need to bring it anywhere. All the information and guidance you need is right here. There are some very knowledgable people that are always willing to help. I took a basket case and with the help of Mutt and a few others got it all together and running. So post your questions along with some pics and soon you'll be humming along. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Hails! I'm a new Hummer owner, she's a beautiful '62 Pacer BHT. Unfortunately when I bought her she had a "magneto problem" that the previous owner told me about. In all honesty I am a newbie to these classic bikes and motors in general, but I know how to ride. Just seems like it's missing one of those D size battery looking things. Anyhow, I was wondering who I can bring this to in Pennsylvania to get a good once over to make sure everything is working correctly and to take a look at the magneto. Any suggestions? I don't want to bring her to some retail bike mechanic and get overcharged, I'd like to bring her to a specialist if anyone knows of someone in the PA area. Thanks for your replies! |
