I am building a scat and I have no electrical yet. I just got a 20's lucas tail
light and I was going to run 4 led turn indicators that were meant for 12v but
the manufacturer said that they would still be brighter than any 6v running
on a Scat electrical system. I bought a 50's Royal Enfield headlight and it has
an electrical monitoring gage on it and a switch built in and it can run on
either 6 or 12volts. Can I get a booster to power to and then run the led
signals off of just incase? And by not having a battery will my little engine
have enough to power the spark, signal lights and my headlight? Not that
they will all be in use at one time and I suspect I wouldn't ride at night for
more than an hour.

Thanks for the info so far. More would be awesome.

I put a 6v to 12v converter in my headlight bucket and run my lights through
this, I cannot see how you'd rewind the generator to put 12 volts out. but my
experience is with slot cars..

I also use only LEDs for running lights (& a 55watt high beam) these running
lights draw less than 1/4 what the original would and If I'd gotten the
charging system working I could probably maintain the battery with the
generator. I rode for 4.5 hours on one charge.

Is there a way to switch a hummer from 6 volts to 12? Let me know. Thanks
