OH BOY !!!! I almost started messing with it last night but decided it would be toooo much to tackle being I was tired so turned the front brake cable clamp around to see if that would stop the cable from weating paint off of the front fender,it did, looks like I wo`nt have to mess with wiring after aall.LOL
Thank You very much for the heads up Mutt.

Joker, DON'T DO THAT !!! that hole was only used to route wires thru on the 1948-1952 models. Starting in '53, those terminal screws were used instead. Your bike is right as it sits

I forgot to mention, the hole is through the underside of that little under cut portion of the fender.

There is a hole in the rear fender where the green arrow is pointing, what would be the purpose of this hole and should I have welded it shut "before" the paint was applied??????
Other than that,I,hehehheee, think it turned out quite well.

Don't fill in the hole! The hole is used as a wireway between the brake light switch and the brake light. I have at 52 and a 57 and they were both wired using the hole in the fender.
