As a side note: Phil's book contains information regarding Charles Manson and his 'family' that never came out in the book 'Helter Skelter' by Vincent Bugliosi. To one who was living in Southern California at the time....and dropped off a hitch-hiker at the Spann Ranch (on my bike) one day (and realised it much later) it's filled in a lot of blanks. It also answered the age old question "Why the LaBianca's?" A MUST read.

Do you like to read books?

Phil Kaufmann was one of the first honorary members of the Harley Hummer Club - he donated the original "Club Plan" passbook (See, http://www.harleyhummerclub.org/stuff/clubplan )

We reproduced this to be the original "Harley Hummer Club" membership cards. During the first few years of the Club (1979-1982 ?), each member received one of these passbooks with their name and renewal date filled in, and signed by yours truly.

Phil later wrote his autobiography, which is filled with stories from when he was Road Manager for bands like Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, EmmyLou Harris, and many, many others.

When singer Gram Parsons died, how he and a friend stole Gram's body and disposed of it according to Gram's wishes - but against local ordinances.

Phil's been around the block (and around the world) a time or two. And has a lot of good stories to tell.
