Just a note for new members that don't know. If you would like to have your carb
body professionally re-finished, I personally offer this service. Your carb doesn't
leave my shop, to "farm out the work" to someone else, where your L&L or
Tillotson carb (and in some cases, rare one year only carbs that could take years
to even find another one of it's type) could mysteriously get lost.
All the pot metal on all the hummer type bikes was always Gold Irridited. This
also goes for the 19950-1966 fuel petcocks. Ya see, bare zinc (die cast,
potmetal) has a tendency to corrode easily. The irriditing slows this process and
make s green/red/gold rainbow looking coolor on the carb or petcock. Just
completely disassemble you carb and send me the die cast parts. In the case of
L&L carbs, this would be the body, slide, float bowl cover and slide cap. On the
Tillotson carbs, this would be the body and the float bowl cover. Cost $40
(includes return shipping).Same day service. If you would like references, just ask
most anyone that has been on the website in the last few years.
