My '48 S125 would do 42 mph after I finished it and that was leaning down between the bars to reduce drag.... and I weighed 132lbs. Just an FYI: the original motor design was to be fuel efficient and they got 100 mpg.

My recently restored "125" will only go 35 mph. In 1957, my first "125" would top out at 50 mph. The Wikipedia listing for the "125" lists the top speed as 50 mph.

The clutch seems to be properly adjusted.

What can I do to increase the top speed?
