Subject:Exhaust Pipe Length Date:Thu Oct 8 18:36:45 2015
I am using an original cigar shape muffler on my '60 Super 10 with a repro chrome exhaust pipe. The pipe seems to be about 1.5-2 inches too long even when fully seated in the muffler tube. The muffler bracket is welded to the muffler so I can't simply slid it forward. Is cutting the exhaust pipe a common practice when using the older original mufflers? I could grind off the bracket and use the newer style bracket. Thanks for any comments.
