Thank you so much for the kind words and for answering all
of my questions from the last post mr. Al, so glad to know
people, who when asked specific questions, they simply
change the subject because they don't have answers to the
questions. You've become a pro at this feat as the years
roll by.

I've know Tom for at least 20 years. He's a big help in
this hobby and usually has a good selection of parts.

Tom, kudos to ya for building these record breaking motors.

So Al, maybe you can answer these questions without
changing the subject? What were the top speeds of this 125
and 165 that shattered the Bonneville records? What were
the 2 records in 2016 that these motors broke?

I combed thru the Bonneville 2017 Records. I can't find
these Harley 125 & 165 LSR listed any where on the page.
All I could find was this "Classes with no listed record
are considered as open."

Knowing what the land speed record is will give me
something to shoot for as I go back into this motor and
change a couple of things

Have a great day,
Mutt

When I see "worlds fastest hummer", I think of Tom VanBeek.

Tom is a long-time club member here who rebuilds engines.

Last year alone (2017), Tom accomplished several
interesting feats...

1. Tom built a 125 engine last year that shattered the
existing Bonneville Harley 125 land speed records!

2. Tom built a 165 engine that broke the 2017 Bonneville
Harley 165 land speed records!

3. The Davenport 2017 flat track race was won using a
VanBeek race engine!

Above are just 3 examples that are far more deserving of
the "worlds fastest hummer" description!

Hello everyone. I came across a 'lost file' regarding a
project Mutt submitted to me in 2006. I've put the page
together and it can now be viewed at:
http://www.harleyhummerclub.org/members/mutt-
fast/index.html or look for it on the Members Page under
'Stories'.
It only took me 12 years to get it done! I sincerely
apologize to Mutt for the oversight. My apology extends to
Michael Crowder, Eddie B., Mike Lewis, Ton Van Beek,
'Nick', Tanno Van Ende, and 'Carl' who contributed to
Mutt's project.
