Restore   Chapter 15   1950 Model 125   Fuel Valve Up

New Fuel Tank Valve for 1950

In mid-year 1950, the fuel tank valve was changed from the 1948-1949 brass valve to a more familiar-looking pot metal valve with both main and reserve controls. The 1950 valve has a threaded outlet. This valve was used on the Model 125 through 1952, and on the Model 165 until 1958. The fuel line was also changed - the 1950 style has a SAE flare nut at the top.

A similar valve is used on 1955-1959 Hummer, 1959 Model 165, and all 1960s models. That valve has a hose barb connector on the bottom.
