1962 Pacer |
1962 was a confusing year. It was the last year of the rigid frame, and the one and only year for the backwoods Ranger. The new 175cc engine debuted in 1962, but some models remained at 165cc - the factory was using up their stock of 165cc parts.
Standard BT Pacers were 175cc. The under-5 horsepower BTU models retained the Super 10's 165cc engine used in 1960-1961. Harley records production of all 1962 models at 1,983 units. It is thought that about 745 BT Pacers, and about 62 BTU Pacers were built. |
