About the Club Recent Events Oley 2011 Page One | Up → |
We had a great turnout at Oley this year. Many members visited the Club tent and enjoyed a hot dog, hamburger (served up by Club Chef Brent Dugan) and a cold beverage. The "long distance" award went to Duane and Janet Taylor, who flew out from Oregon to check out the meet. The "Metal Master" had an appointment in Philadelphia the next day - seems like they have a bell with a crack in it that needs restoration. There were many Hummer people and Hummer bikes at the meet - pictures below.
Thursday afternoon was shorts and t-shirt weather. Friday dawned nicely, but rain and cold set in during the afternoon. The rain went away, and Saturday was warm and dry. It seems like the pattern at Oley is one cold day and one t-shirt day. But the weather didn't dampen the enthusiasm of swap meet participants. We had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones. See you next year!
