STEVE:
DUANE TAYLOR HERE WITH AN ANSWER FOR YOU. I HAVE TAKEN SEVERAL PICTURES OF AN ORIGINAL 48 FRAME SHOWING THE
CROSS TUBE/KICKSTAND BRACKET ASSEMBLY AND WILL E-MAIL THEM TO YOU. YOU ALSO HAVE MY APOLOGY IN THAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS FOR YOU ALONG WITH SENDING THE NEW TUBE/BRACKET ASSEMBLY YOU BOUGHT. I DESIGNED/MADE THIS PART SEVERAL
YEARS AGO AND SHOULD HAVE DONE THE PICTURES AS PART OF THAT ASSEMBLY. BEING AN 84 YO, I CAN BLAME THIS LAPSE ON MY AGE.
I USE THAT A LOT.

DUANE TAYLOR, (ANCIENT)

DAVE HENNESY:
DO YOU WANT PICTURES AS NOTED ABOVE TO USE IN THE HOW TO RESTORE SECTION?. I MADE THIS REBUILD PART NOTED ABOVE AND ANOTHER PART USED WHEN THE ONLY PROBLEM IS BROKEN OFF TANGS.

Thanks - the illustration helped.
A photo of the current support assembly on the frame is attached.

Steve,

Perhaps the illustrations (not photos) of frames over in How-To-Restore Chapter 4 might help you.

Why don't you post a photo of your frame so we can see what you've got?

Dave

Hello,
I would like to know if someone could either email or post a photo of a 1949 frame. The location I am interested in is the foot rest shaft support area. I am told I have the incorrect support welded to the frame and I would like to know what the original looks like.
Thanks in advance...
