Thanks Guys! I'm going to dig into it this week. I am able to shut the fuel valve off to stop the flow.

Take the float out and put it in a jar of fuel to see if it floats. This ethanol blend sucks. I had to replace the brass float in my Indian with a composite.

Does your fuel valve shut off the flow? I guess that they cannot all be perfect (as mine is not). The float valve may be bent as another potential problem. Or it may not move easily in the lower guide due to corrosive swelling.

Thank you for all the great information. The part numbers will come in handy as well. This beats keeping a paper towel wedged under the carb to soak up the gas.

The float valve 27536-47 may not seat in the metering jet 27520-47 which might be worn, or the float 27535-47 may be sunk. or there may be crud keeping the valve from shutting of completely, float valve bent or spring clip on the float that holds the valve not holding the valve.

Clean the carp particularly the float valve and check to see that the float floats. The float is not stopping the inflow of fuel. You might get fuel out the tickler if you hold it down to long on a properly functioning carb.

On my Harley 125 the carburetor leaks gas where you push the primer.

Anyone know what part I might need to fix this??

Thanks for any ideas!!!!
