Your 1960 Super 10 should have 2 sets of points.
By pressing the button, it should make contact with the ignition set of points, thus grounding them out, and cause the engine to die. Are you pressing hard enough?

The flat spring inside my magneto cover doesn't make contact with any part of the magneto when the button is pushed. Can anyone tell me what the flat spring is suppose to contact and whether it must be bent etc? I have a 1960 Super 10. Any help is much appreciated. Bill
