I am thinking it would have been either a Scat or Pacer 1963-65 or 66.I
just got a 62 Scat...it was the last year with the solid frame.

When I was in college in the early 1970s that was labeled as a Harley
Davidson - Made in Austria.

It had a hinged frame... pretty much just behind the foot pegs. It did have
large springs between two parts of the hinged frame.

I believe it had a 175cc 2 stroke motor.

I drove it all around Chicago for a couple of years.

The problem was that if you hit a hump ... like a railroad track.... too hard,
the hinged frame would flex TOO MUCH and the CHAIN would BREAK!

I drove it until I could no longer find the chain repair links!

Does anybody know what that bike was?
