Thank You. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- DO NOT PAINT THEM. ORIGINAL CASES WERE "AS CAST". THE COVERS HAD A SMOOTH FINISH BECAUSE THEY WERE DIE CAST. DO NOT POLISH THEM EITHER IF YOU WANT TO BE CORRECT. DUANE TAYLOR ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- I am in the process of restoring a 1956 Hummer. I just had the crankcase and 2 side covers glass and plastic bead blasted. Do most restorers leave these items as blasted or do you paint them with clear urethane? |
