i started assembly of my 53 st motor and ran into a problem with the crankshaft bearings. both inner bearings are loose in the cases by about .0005 . is this common ? is there a fix ?

Best stuff on the market. Seals bearing gap up to .009". Works awesome.

it will definately "glue" them in there. If the bearings are loose, it could cause compression to leak past the bearings. It's a must on most 48 and 49 models as they didn't have a steel race cast into the case. Lots are worn .005 or more
