Per the service book:
REPLACING REAR WHEEL SPROCKET (Fig. 2C-25) in the Service Manual, 1959 MODEL 165 and HUMMER (part number 99488-59)
To replace a worn rear wheel sprocket remove wheel from motorcycle as described in "Removing and Installing Rear Wheel."
Center punch and drill rivets out.
Install new sprocket as shown in Fig. 2C-25, using bolts that are supplied with replacement sprocket kit.
Original rivet holes do not have to be re-drilled to accommodate bolts.
Remember, if the final drive chain in worn, it will prematurely wear out the new sprocket.
Additionally, if the rear sprocket is worn deeming replacement, the Main Gear Sprocket (rear chain) may also need replacement.
Keep in mind, chain and sprocket replacement is also based on the number of miles you plan on putting on the motorcycle.
Non-daily drivers do not require the same maintenance as daily drivers.
