Awhile back I found a cylinder with a linkert intake already installed on it for sale on eBay. I finally got it mounted onto the engine and a carb hooked up and I’m having trouble with the gas leaking. I’ve adjusted the float and tried the float level at 1/4 inch and also 5/16 inch for float height. I’m wondering if the angle the carb sits is just too steep. I really should have figured this out prior to having the cylinder honed and worked on. I know I’ve seen other bikes with this conversion and there carbs were a lot more flat with how they sat in regards to the engine. I just assumed when I bought this with the linkert intake already on it that it had run like that in its previous life. ( you know what they say about assuming!!!). Anyway if anyone knows if this looks way to steep an angle for the carb to work I’d love to know so I can figure out what to do next.
