AMAL carb ?

Anybody ever run an AMAL carb on a lightweight ? I picked up a 939/95 monobloc that imho would look tits on my 165 "racer" . I'm familiar with tuning them from my days as a Tri/BSA tech so thats not a problem but I've never seen one used on a lightweight.

Yep, they work fine.The Amal 276 pre-monobloc carbs were a great carb in the 50's. Not sure why Harley didnt follow suit with BSA and the other DKW types. 16mm carbs did nothing for performance. My 61 Super is running a 30mm Del Lorto.
