Hello from the Great White North

Postby CanuckDave » Thu Mar 14, 2019 3:21 pm

Hello, name's Dave and I'm in Ottawa, Canada.

I picked this 51 Hummer a few years back as is. The tin has the "125" stamp and still has the original Goodyear tires with Rebel Flag on sidewalls. I've got the original horn somewhere around the house? I've got to get it working again and put it on. I also own a 51 Panhead.

I know I'll have questions about the Hummer. I've yet to plate it and get it on the road.

Dave those are both sweet 51's.
I wish I still had my 49 pan. I'm restoring a 48 L/W and a 59 Hummer but still have a lot of work yet just mostly collecting parts so far but hope to do some work when the weather breaks.

The Hummer I found just outside of Montreal. After talking the seller down he couldn't get it to start. I knocked him down another $500. I didn't have a battery handy so I wired up a 6v camping battery and it fired right up. Had he made the effort he'd have been 500 buck's richer.

The Pan took me 6 years to rebuild and only has 3 aftermarket parts on it; chain guard, derby cover, and inspection cover. I've found the oem parts but yet to put them on. I built it for my son. He's severely autistic and may never be able to ride it but it will put a few bucks in his pocket once I'm gone.
