It was a lot of fun knowing him and these bikes have brought a lot of us great joy. He'll always be remembered.

Dean Hummer was much more than the "Father Of The Hummer". He was a friend, mentor, and Vice-President of our former 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation.

My best memories of Dean come from his and Priscilla's attendance at two of our Hummer Club events. These are documented on our website, but perhaps you haven't seen them. Click the links below.

HONC - Hummers On The Nation's Capitol - was held on the National Mall in Washington DC in 1999. Our display of Hummers was across the street from the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum. Our group also went on a motorcycle tour of the downtown museums and monuments.

50th Anniversary of the Hummer was a major event held at the (former) AMCA Swap Meet in Davenport, Iowa in 2005.

The Davenport video was in an obsolete format that hasn't been viewable for more five years. This morning, I converted it to a modern format and uploaded it to the website, where you can now watch it. I guess that's my way of saying "Goodbye".
